Introduction

Mission: Modern information technology is based on microelectronics, photonics, computing and communication technologies, to acquire, store, process, transport and display various types of information. Our mission is to study the devices and integrated technologies required by the information acquisition, storage, processing and display, using electrons and photons as information carriers. We have three main research fields: Solid state electronics, physical electronics and microelectronics. History: For the undergraduate majors, Radio components and materials (No. 590), Electrical vacuum devices and technology (No. 470), Electrophysical devices (No. 860) were founded in 1958. In 1970, Electrophysical devices were renamed to Electron beam, ion beam devices and technology and Applied Physics was renamed to Semiconductor devices. In 1977, Semiconductor devices were renamed to Semiconductor physics and devices. In 1982, Radio components and materials were renamed to Electronic materials and components. Still in 1982, Electrical vacuum devices and technology and Electron beam, ion beam devices and technology were combined to Physical Electronic technology. In 1993, Semiconductor physics and devices were renamed to Microelectronic Technology. In 1997, Microelectronic Technology, Physical Electronic technology and Electronic materials and components were combined to Electronic science and technology level 1 discipline. In 2007, Electronic science and technology was divided to Electronic science and technology department and Microelectronics department. In 2018, the School of Electronic Science and Engineering was founded from Electronic science and technology department. For the graduate majors, we are in the first batch of national master's degree program in 1978. There are three Degree awarding points: Electronic Physics and Devices; Semiconductor Physics and Devices and Electronic Materials and Components. In 1984, Electronic Physics and Devices Master program was renamed to Physical Electronics and Optoelectronics. In the same year, “Electronic Materials and Components” selected to be National first batch only PhD program. In 1986, “Semiconductor Physics and Devices” selected to be one of the three national first batch of engineering PhD programs and “Electronic Materials and Components” selected to be the only National key discipline in China. In 1990, “Electronics and communication” postdoctoral research station was established. In 1993, we obtain “Physical Electronics and Optoelectronics” PhD program and Semiconductor Physics and Devices were renamed to Microelectronics PhD Program. In 1997, National adjustment of PhD Program, “Physical Electronics and Optoelectronics” PhD program was renamed to Physical Electronics; Microelectronics PhD program and Electronic Materials and components PhD program were combined to Microelectronics and Solid Electronics. In 1998, Electronic Science and Technology selected to be the first batch of national level 1 discipline PhD program and Electromagnetic field and microwave technology PhD program was emerged into our level 1 discipline and “Electronic Science and Technology” postdoctoral research station was established.  “Electronic Science and Technology” level-1 disciplinary PhD Program includes the following 4 level-2 disciplinary PhD Programs: Physical Electronics; Circuit and Systems; Microelectronics and Solid State Electronics; Electromagnetic Field and Microwave Technology. In 2001, we had the National Key discipline of Microelectronics and Solid State Electronics. In 2007, we had the National Key discipline: Microelectronics and Solid State Electronics and National Key (Cultivation) discipline: Physical Electronics. In 2010, “Electronic Science and Technology” postdoctoral research station was evaluated as “National Excellent postdoctoral research station” (4 in total in XJTU). In 2015, “Electronic Science and Technology” postdoctoral research station was evaluated again as “National Excellent postdoctoral research station” (9 in total in XJTU). In 2018, the School of Electronic Science and Engineering was founded.

A new etching system with mixed solutions such as hydrochloric acid, sulfuric acid and chromic acid as etching medium was first invented. A set of etching equipment suitable for both domestic aluminum foils and imported aluminum foils was designed and developed. The technical parameters of etched aluminum foils obtained under the condition of domestic equipment reached upto the international advanced level in the same period. Since the conversion production up to now, always adhere to follow-up research, constantly improve the technical level and product quality. Shenzhen Dongyang Industrial Development Co., Ltd. has built two foils production bases in Ruyuan county , Guangdong and Yidu city, Hubei. The production scale is the largest in China and all over the world. 2.Aluminum electrolytic capacitor composite anodic oxide film electrode foils with High specific capacitance The project of Preparation and its performance of Aluminium-based Composite Ferroelectric oxide Film has made a great breakthrough in the laboratory supported by the national 863 plan. The nanometer film with high dielectric constant has been successfully applied to the anode aluminum foils of aluminum electrolytic capacitor. A new type of anodic aluminum foil with high specific capacitance was developed. The technological parameters reached upto the international leading level approved by the Chinese Electronic Society. The application of the research results to the production of anode foil for aluminum electrolytic capacitors is being carried out in Zhaoqing Huafeng Electronic Aluminum foils Co., Ltd. patent: 1.The ferroelectric crystal/epoxy 2-2 composites and stress plate reinforced 2-2 composites 2.One kind of organic/inorganic composites based on UV photosensitive Titanium silicon 3.Concave lens array prepared on the TiO2 organic/inorganic photosensitive composite film 4.Ultra-capacitor based on MnO2/PPy/F-CNTs composites 5.The preparation method of composite Al2O3 film with high dielectric constant 6.One method to enhance the specific capacitance of anodic oxide film Al foils with low voltage
